The makeover of the Dunwoody-based school was achieved through a variety of resources. Funds were raised through the Parent Teacher Council, and substantial discounts and donations were received this summer by Dream Works Painting & Remodeling LLC; BP Upholstery; Shaw Contract Group; Spectra Contract Floor and Atlanta Office Liquidators, Inc.

The school also raised money through fundraisers, including its first-ever Boosterthon Fun Run in which the children raised money for the school, while promoting fitness, leadership and character.

“We are working towards improving the instructional program at Chesnut by enhancing our resources,” said principal, Veronica Williams. “Our newly renovated Media Center creates a bright new environment that has been designed to accommodate large group activities, easier accessibility to resources, and a teacher resource center.”
