Construction Underway for New Hyatt at Villa Christina

The 173-room, 10-floor hotel is slated to be completed in December.

Construction is underway for what will become the Perimeter area's first full-service hotel to be built in 20 years.

The 173-room, 10-floor Hyatt Hotel at Villa Christina is being built adjacent to the restaurant in Perimeter Summit and is scheduled for a March 2014 opening.

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, an affiliate of General Electric Pension Trust, advised by GE Asset Management, is financing the Hyatt Hotel at Villa Christina. Atlanta-based Legacy Property Group LLC is developing the project.

ABC reported that the hotel would have rooftop views of Buckhead, an outdoor garden, access to walking trails in Perimeter Summit, along with free shuttles to MARTA and Perimeter Mall.

Construction is slated to be completed in December.
