The playhouse was started in 1974 as a community improvement project by Dunwoody Woman's Club.

Stage Door Players has an exciting lineup to celebrate its 40 season.  There’s “On Golden Pond,” “Godspell,” The Odd Couple” and more in the season which kicks off Sept. 27 with “The Andrews Brothers: A Madcap Salute to the Swinging 40s.”

The playhouse was started in 1974 as a community improvement project by Dunwoody Woman’s Club. The professional theater company came later as it performed at different venues, according to a Neighbor Newspapers story.
