Andrea was instrumental in her husband's murder: giving Neumann her husband's schedule - why would your boss need to know when, & where your husband take your kids in the morning? Among other things, the affair, piles of emails, and knowing her husband was shot before she was notified, mum huh... If she doesn't get life in prison, she will definitely be branded for life in the community! Just …   more ›

Sneiderman Granted $500,000 Bond

Sneiderman will need to come up with half of that amount in cash before she can be released.

DeKalb County judge Gregory Adams set bond for Andrea Sneiderman at $500,000 during a hearing Tuesday in her murder trial. Wearing a purple blouse and black pant suit, and with her hair pulled back in a ponytail, Sniederman smiled as she heard Adams issue his ruling. If she makes bond, Sneiderman will also have to wear an electronic ankle bracelet until her trial, live with her parents, and turn in her passport and her children's passports. She hugged her attorneys and smiled as she left the courtroom. Sneiderman's next court appearance was set for Sept. 6. Did Dunwoody PD Look Into Andrea Sneiderman During Investigation?

Police officials say that they were focused on Hemy Neuman, the gunman eventually convicted of killing Russell Sneiderman, her husband.

A Channel 2 report wrote a scathing article this week about Dunwoody PD failing to consder Andrea Sniderman, eventually a suspect in her husband's murder, and instead investigated the convicted killer, Hemy Neuman. Andrea has since been arrested, but Duwnoody PD took a hit from the DeKalb DA team, according to the Channel 2 report. "By the time the police got to where they need to make an arrest, a lot of evidence was lost," he said. Sign up for a Dunwoody Patch newsletter to have breaking news delivered to your inbox. The Dunwoody PD are staying away from this one - refusing to tell their side of the story. On Friday, Sgt. Mike Carlson, department spokesman, said the case is now out of Dunwoody PDs hands. Andrea Sneiderman's testimony is subpoenaed

Her testimony during the trial raised eyebrows from legal professionals and people following the trial.

One of the lingering questions after the conviction of Hemy Neuman for the murder of Russell Sneiderman was whether wife Andrea Sneiderman would be charged in the killing. On Monday, a Grand Jury subpoenaed all of Andrea Sneiderman's testimony from Channel 2 Action News, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The subpoena comes after DeKalb District Attorney Robert James told reporters at Neuman's trial that Andrea Sneiderman's role in the death could lead to charges.  Neuman was sentenced to life without parole. It is something we have under review right now," James said March 15. "Stay tuned." Dunwoody community reacts to verdict

Relief expressed by many in Dunwoody

Dunwoody residents breathed a sigh of relief after the news that Hemy Neuman had been found guilty but mentally ill Thursday in the shooting death of Russell Sneiderman. Connie Morelle, a Dunwoody resident, said she believes the verdict means that there will be justice for Sneiderman. “I’m appalled that in this community you can execute a father at his son’s day care and be perceived to be insane.” A little less than a year-and-a-half ago, 36-year-old father Sneiderman was gunned down at Dunwoody Prep, a city day care center, after he dropped off his son. The prep school is located in the heart of the Dunwoody community in Dunwoody Village. Morelle said that after the shooting the feeling in the community went back to normal. “The general …

Neuman found Guilty but Mentally Ill; Gets Life Without Parole

DeKalb DA confirms that his office is investigating the widow

A jury of nine women and three men found Hemy Neuman guilty but mentally ill in the 2010 killing of Russell "Rusty" Sneiderman. Judge Gregory Adams, who called Sneiderman's death "an execution," sentenced Neuman to the maximum sentence allowed __ life in prison without possibility of parole. Adams also imposed a five year sentence for using a gun in the commission of a felony. DeKalb District Attorney Robert James called it a victory. “Guilty is guilty,” James said in a news conference after the sentencing hearing. Defense lawyers pledged to appeal the verdict and argued that Neuman should have been found not guilty by reason of insanity. Neuman admitted killing Russell "Rusty" Sneiderman in Nov. 2010, just after Sneiderman dropped his son…

Neuman Trial Jurors Go Home Without Verdict

Jurors will return Thursday morning to continue their work.

The jury in the Hemy Neuman murder trial spent its first day deliberating Wednesday, but retired for the day without offering a verdict or even a clue about which way they're leaning in a case that has caught national attention. Neuman, a former GE Energy Atlanta executive, has admitted slaying Dunwoody entrepreneur Russell "Rusty" Sneiderman, but pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. For about two hours Wednesday afternoon, the jury watched videotaped interviews of Neuman with a psychiatrist hired by the prosecution. That expert testified that Neuman was sane at the time of the killing and responsible for his actions. Almost all of the nine women and three men of the jury appeared to be bored while reviewing the video in the courtroom…
