The trendy Farm Burger restaurant is aiming to bring hip back to the Georgetown Shopping Center. Don't get me wrong, the shopping center is on the way up anyway. There's the newly refurbished Kroger - completed a few months ago - and that's real nice. Good produce, tile flooring, Boar's Head sandwiches, the works. But grocery stores aren't really entertainment or something to do at night. The new Farm Burger falls more squarely into that category. The franchises in Decatur and Buckhead built a name for the local chain, which focuses on local ingredients and enviro-friendly concepts. The popular eatery is under construction in the Georgetown shopping center with Kroger.
Farm Burger, the popular eatery that started in Dectaur, is on track to open a store with Morelli's Ice Cream in the Georgetown shopping center with Kroger. "Two maybe two and a half weeks and we are there," according to their blog on the progress of the construction. The restaurant, also located in Buckhead, will make its first venture outside the Perimeter. They specialize in fresh ingredients and local, grass-fed beef. The menu for the restuarants, also on their blog, features the "farm burger" with aged Vermont cheddar and carmelized onions.
