Davis Prepares for Annual Dunwoody State of the City Address

The event is set to begin at 6 pm on Tuesday night at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia.

Dunwoody Mayor Mike Davis is set to present his annual State of the City address on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia Hotel in Dunwoody. Davis said this year's address will focus on new goals and opportunities for the city in 2013. “In 2012 we were actively engaged in the enhancement of our community’s basic needs for public safety and transportation accessibility,” he said. “Our successes over the past year include improvements to our roads and traffic, upgrades of our park amenities, growth of new and existing commercial business and the financial health of our city’s resources.   "Our vision for the future is to implement the plans and ideas of our community and help Dunwoody become an even better place to live, work and …

Really? Are you telling me we cannot afford to offer the same services our sister city DORAVILLE provides it's citizens? I do not expect Dunwoody to run an animal shelter (as you say those services can be deferred to Dekalb) but a simple service of an animal control truck/officer seems not only a reasonable request, but a necessary must after all this time as a city.
