Security at the new Von Maur store in Perimeter Mall helped police arrest a man suspected of shoplifting at the high-end retail store Sunday, police said. A 20-year-old Douglas County man was suspected for shoplifting a pair of $350 jeans but was spotted by store security. When Dunwoody PD arrived, a background check showed that the suspect was wanted by Douglas County Sheriff's Office for a probation violation. The suspect was arrested and taken to DeKalb County Jail. Douglas County will be able to pick up the suspect for his probation violation when the suspect makes bond for the DeKalb charges, police said. Dunwoody Police said that store security played a big role in arresting the suspect and hgelping out Dunwoody Police.

Nelson, a night patrolman, came to the popular shopping center Thursday afternoon on the eastern side of the city. A store security guard told the officer that a man was loading up on loads of meat, seafood and a large pack of bacon.
