Choose a Winning Teacher Through Perimeter Mall Competition

The winning teacher will receive a $500 mall gift card on National Teacher’s Day, Tuesday, May 7.

The finalists have been chosen, and now the public can pick the winner for Perimeter Mall’s search for a top performing teacher in the community. The winning teacher will receive a $500 mall gift card on National Teacher’s Day, Tuesday, May 7. “We have some great examples of teachers who affect their students’ lives in really positive and unique ways. I encourage anyone who had a teacher that inspired them during their own education to vote,” said Perimeter Mall General Manager Dennis Kemp. The teacher receiving the most votes on the mall’s Facebook page will receive a $500 mall gift card on National Teacher’s Day. Votes can be cast from April 16-28.

Perimeter Mall Looking for Great Teachers

The Dunwoody shopping center will reward a top teacher with a $500 gift card in recognition of National Teacher's Day on May 7.

Perimeter Mall is seeking nominations for a top performing teacher in the community. The winning teacher will receive a $500 mall gift card on National Teacher’s Day, Tuesday, May 7. “Celebrate Teachers! will recognize and showcase the dedication of our best educators,” said Dennis Kemp, Perimeter Mall general manager. “Teachers are shaping our future leaders and we want to recognize their hard work. This program continues the mall’s commitment to local schools.” Teachers can be nominated on the mall’s Facebook page until April 5. Votes can be cast from April 16–28. The teacher receiving the most votes on the mall’s Facebook page will receive a $500 mall gift card on National Teacher’s Day.

Two Weekend Altercations Over Parking Spots at Perimeter Mall

Perimeter Mall was quite the place for arguments over parking spaces this past weekend.

Two parking lot disputes occurred over the weekend at Perimeter Mall. The first incident occurred Friday afternoon, according to Channel 2 Action News. Two vehicles pulled up to the same spot, and one vehicle, driven by a 22-year-old woman, took the spot. When she returned to her SUV after shopping, she found her tires had been slashed. The woman, who was unidentified in the report, said the other driver was blowing its horn, "causing a major scene." She said she quickly walked around her vehicle and into the mall to avoid confrontation. On Saturday, a Dunwoody police officer responded to a hit and run call. "The officer learned the victim was attempting to save a parking space for his wife," according to the department's Facebook page. "…

Renovations Coming to Perimeter Mall's Food Court

The mall's food court will soon have a new look and feel.

Perimeter Mall has announced plans for the center’s foot court renovation.  The new space will boast a modern look and feel with a mixture of wood, porcelain and metal creating an earthy tone and a warm, intimate atmosphere.  The furniture will be rounded and smooth with a contemporary fabric design allowing for a more aesthetic balance. The renovations are expected to be complete in late June 2013. “As we continue to add new retailers, now is a great time to improve our customer experience by refreshing one of our most popular amenities, the food court,” said Dennis Kemp, general manager of Perimeter Mall.  Additional new design features of the food court include hidden energy efficient LED lighting and banquet-style seating with built …

Perimeter Mall Retailers Sweeten the Pot on Christmas Discounts

Some of the national chain retailers are offering last minute discounts in the face of lower than expected numbers so far this holiday season.

Did you wait to the last minute to shop for Christmas? Depending on who you are buying for, you could be in luck. The Associated Press is reporting that Aeropostale and American Eagle Outfitters - both chains have stores in Perimeter Mall - are offering deep discounts to draw people in the last few days before the season is over. The reason: a slower than expected season for retailers who make up to 40 percent of their revenue during the holidays. Both teen chains are offering sweeping deals. Aeropostale is offering a 60 percent discount on all of its clothes and American Eagle has discounted its clothes by 40 percent across the board, according to the AP. Looking for some deals online? Last Minute Holiday Shopping at Macy's at Perimeter Mall

The New York-based department store will be open for 48 hours before Christmas.

Are you a Christmas shopper who always waits to the last minute? Looking to cash in on some really last minute Christmas deals? Macy's at Perimeter Mall will be a part of a nationwide promotion - staying open around the clock from Dec. 21 to Dec. 23. Yep, you heard that right. The chain will be open straight from 7 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21 to 7 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23. The special deals as part of the shopping marathon will end on 7 a.m. Dec. 23. But don't worry, if you're a really last, last-minute shopper the store will be open until midnight Sunday, just without the sales.
