Chick-fil-A operating from former Arby's

Limited menu is being served until the restaurant is retrofitted, according to local food blog.

Hmm. This is an interesting piece from tonetoatl.com. We’ve reported that Chick-fil-A had been wanting to move into the former Arby’s after losing a very public fight awhile back to occupy the old Blockbuster Video store (now being renovated for another business.) Seems it’s a Chick-fil-A, but only kinda. The author reports “only original chicken sandwiches or #1 combos and fudge brownies from 10:30am-8pm.” From the blog: From what I understand, the plan is to remain open in the space with a limited menu, exclusively via the drive-thru, until this Saturday, and possibly next week as well.  After this very limited "trial" period, the restaurant will close and be retrofitted to become a full service Chick-fil-A restaurant.  A Chick-fil-A …

Bonehead's Coming To Town Brookhaven

The popular Perimeter franchise with a variety of tacos topped with Asian slaw will be located in the same stretch of the Brookhaven complex as Moes and the not-yet-arrived Brookhaven Animal Hospital.

Looks like another popular, upscale food concept woth casual dining is coming to Town Brookhaven. If you haven't heard of Boneheads Seafood, at Olde Perimeter in Dunwoody you soon will. The resturant specializes in grilled, healthy seafood and  Piri Piri chicken. The sauces might be the topper. "Bird's Eye Chili" heats up the chicken and lemon, herb add to the mix. Located in the same stretch of the complex as Moes is a space for the not-yet-arrived restaurant. Boneheads will also be next door to Brookhaven Animal Hospital, which is also seemingly coming soon.

Popular Atlanta eateries headed to Georgetown

Decatur's Farm Burger and Morelli's Gourmet Ice Cream to share 4,000-square-foot space in Georgetown Shopping Center. Stores to open by the end of the summer.

Decatur's popular burger joint, Farm Burger, is planning to open a store in Dunwoody toward the end of the summer, according to a popular local food blog. The local burger spot will be located in the Georgetown Shopping Center along with Goldberg's Bagels, Starbucks, a recently renovated Kroger and other shops. The restaurant will share roughly 4,000 square feet with Morelli's Gourmet Ice Cream, according to an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Farm Burger uses locally raised meat and produce in its two locations in Buckhead and Decatur. Popular Eatery to Open in Dunwoody this Summer

Marlow's Tavern will add its ninth location to the local chain.

A well-known eatery in the Atlanta area will open up shop in Dunwoody midsummer. Marlow's Tavern, known for its upscale tavern fare and cocktails, is set to open July 31 at 1319 Dunwoody Village Parkway, according to executive chef and co-founder John Metz Jr. “The great neighborhood and flourishing business community are the perfect match for Marlow’s 'hospitality first' mentality and fresh-ingredient-focused cuisine and cocktails,” he said. The tavern's menu offers classics like burgers and sandwiches and also changes things up. Newly added items to the menu include grilled turkey meatloaf and Ahi tuna poke. Hee. Not being snobby at all. Just hopeful that more places such as Allison's or Sababa's or Wild Ginger or even Dunwoody Tavern, etc. open up. I've eaten at Marlowe's a few times. They're ok, but very pricey for what you get. The city should be promoting themselves to more mom and pop places, or have incentives for people to open their own shops and restaurants.
