Dunwoody to gauge "State of the City"
Mayor Mike Davis to assess past accomplishments tonight and set a new course for city's growth and economic development
City leaders and residents will gather at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia hotel tonight to hear newly elected Mayor Mike Davis talk about the city’s past accomplishments and chart a course for 2012. “At the state of the city address, we not only celebrate the many accomplishments of the past year but we announce a new set of goals and targets for 2012. It’s a high energy event that has become a tradition for the city," said City Manager Warren Hutmacher, in a statement. The newly elected Davis, who is serving in his first year as mayor, will focus on critical issues upcoming in the city, including smart growth, city financial discipline, Dunwoody's economic development and key projects that are expected to take shape in the coming year.
