Man Arrested After Hit and Run with Police, Shoppers

Shots were fired during Friday's incident at a Dunwoody shopping center.

A man who stole a car Friday afternoon and crashed it into a police cruiser has been arrested and is facing multiple charges. The incident happened outside the Barnes & Noble book store in Dunwoody, according to CBS Atlanta. Robert Goodman, 20, also hit several shoppers' cars as he tried to flee from police. "An officer fired shots at Goodman in order to protect the lives and safety of police officers and pedestrians in the area," the report stated. No injuries have been reported. Goodman is charged with aggravated assault against an officer, aggravated assault, four counts of hit-and-run, among other charges.

Person of Interest Identified in Dunwoody McDonalds Armed Robbery

Police are looking for Devante Davis, aka, Vante Dirty Dreads, for questioning in connection with the January 7 incident.

Dunwoody police have identified another person of interest in connection with the dramatic Jan. 7 armed robbery of a local McDonalds. Police want to question Devante Davis (aka Vante Dirty Dreads), in connection with the robbery. Two other suspects have already been arrested: Dejaun Anthony Simmons, 19, and Carlin Caleb Tibbs, also 19. Police believe Tibbs was the driver of a dark sedan that pulled up to the restaurant's drive-through window around 4 am on Jan. 7. Two suspects ran up from a hiding location behind the building toward the service window. Davis' last known address was in Fairburn, Ga. He is described as 5'8" and 150 pounds. Police Catch Armed Robbery Suspect

The Dunwoody Walmart was the site of an armed robbery on Thursday morning.

Dunwoody police have apprehended a suspect who allegedly robbed the Ashford-Dunwoody Walmart on Thursday morning. Police responded to the armed robbery call at about 8:40 am. "Within 15 minutes of receiving the call, officers were able to track and apprehend a suspect found lying within an adjacent wooded area with several items from the robbery still in his possession, including a handgun, wig, and money stolen from Walmart," according to the department's Facebook page. The suspect has been identified as Alphonzo Eddy, 29, East Point, GA. He has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during a crime, and theft by taking.

Police Release Details on Suspicious Vehicle Following Dunwoody Girl

Police are looking for a older-model, white SUV with a spare tire on the back of the vehicle and numerous stickers.

Police have released a description of a vehicle that was allegedly following a 12-year-old girl in the Springfield subdivision back on March 15. Police describe the vehicle as a "older model, white, boxy style SUV" with a spare tire on the back of the vehicle and many stickers. "The center of the rear window has a large metallic looking sticker that looks like the word 'Miller' written in script on it," police said in a statement. During the incident, two suspects exited the vehicle several times to approach the girl, but sped away when the girl notifed some nearby adults of the incident. Both suspects are described as male, in their 20s to 30s. The driver is  described as 6'0 to 6'2," 185-195 pounds, dark brown curly hair that is short …

Dunwoody Rite Aid Burglarized Overnight

Police are looking for this suspect.

The Dunwoody Rite Aid was burlarized overnight when a suspect threw a large rock through the glass door and made off with about 120 packs of cigarettes. The store is located at 5556 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in the Publix Shopping Center.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Dunwoody Police Department at 678-382-6900.

Dunwoody Police Looking for Burglary Suspect

The suspect is wanted in connection with two apartment burglaries.

Dunwoody police have released this photo of a suspect wanted in connection with two residential apartment burglaries. "On Feb. 18, 2013, this male suspect used a prying instrument to attempt two burglaries at an apartment complex in Dunwoody," police said in a statement. "Theuspect is also believed to be involved in several other burglaries within apartment complexes." Anyone with information regarding this suspect or incident is asked to contact Det. Update: The Dunwoody Rabbit Hoarding Case

Here's a followup to the incident of animal cruelty that occurred earlier this week.

Earlier this week, while serving an arrest warrant, Dunwoody police officers found a house full of more than 70 rabbits with little food or water. DeKalb County Animal Control as well as a group of animal rescue personnel from Bremen, GA, took custody of the animals. Dunwoody Police Release Updated Photos of Marshall's Robbery Suspect

Police are seeking this man in connection with the February 1 armed robbery of a Dunwoody department store.

Police have released new photos of a suspect wanted in connection with a February armed robbery of a local department store. Dunwoody police say the man robbed the Marshalls store at 1131 Hammond Drive at about 10 pm on Feb. 1. "Suspect is described as wearing an all-black jogging suit with stripes on the pants and an 'S' on the sweatshirt with a scarf covering most of his face," the department's Facebook page said. Dunwoody Police Looking for Forgery Suspect

Jonathan Tyler Brown is suspected of depositing a fraudulent check into his bank account and then withdrawing the funds.

Dunwoody Police are looking for a man suspected of third-degree forgery. According to the department, Jonathan Tyler Brown, most recently of Lilburn, deposited a fraudulent check into his checking account. He then allegedly withdrew the funds from his bank. Police said Brown knew the check was fraudulent and the money would not be honored by the bank. CrimeStoppersAtlanta is offering up to a $2,000 reward for any information leading to his arrest. Brown is described as a 26-year-old male, with brown hair and blue eyes, 6 feet tall and 145 pounds.

Dunwoody Hit-and-Run Victim Looking for Lost Dog

The victim suffered minor injuries, but her dog ran away.

Dunwoody Police are asking for help in helping a hit and run victim locate her lost dog. Police say the woman was walking her dog Tuesday night when she was struck by a vehicle in front of 1850 Cotillion Drive. The victim suffered minor injuries, but her dog ran away.
