Photos of the Week: Stratus Night in Dunwoody
Stratus clouds brighten the sky on a crisp November night under a full moon.
The full moon was perfectly positioned behind stratus clouds in the November sky just after the lighting of the Dunwoody Christmas Tree. Bits and pieces of the moon were peaking out. As an artist, I had to stop immediately and capture it on film. In attempt to get a better focal perspective I missed the shot I so desperately wanted to capture. I should have known to stay where I was and not let the moment pass by. However, the unique perspective provided by the rooftop of Madison Square was one I had not experienced before. This was my first opportunity to view Dunwoody underneath the full moon from a rooftop. Buildings and power lines were no longer interfering with my view of the evening sky.
