CAC Rolls Out Its Programs to Help the Needy over the Holidays

Last year, the assistance organization raised gifts and meals for 1,300 families in Dunwoody and Sandy Springs.

The Community Assistance Center is continuing its local programs to help the disadvanatged for the holidays - local residents can donate with holiday meals and gifts. The first program is the holiday food program. A holiday food donation can give a local family – the assistance center serves Dunwoody and Sandy Springs – with an extra bit of help. You can choose to donate grocery store gift card, a holiday food box or general holiday food items to the pantry. You can find food needed for the pantry here. The program by the CAC asks for residents to give grocery store cards in $10 denominations. You can help a family for the Christmas season through the CAC. CAC Looks for Food in Summer Doldrums in Dunwoody Sandy Springs

Basics: like toothpaste and canned goods are needed. Throw In PB & J for a real treat.

The Community Action Council is asking for emergency food donations in emergency times. Go here for more info. The food pantry is in critical need of food. For families in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody, summer months leave them hungrier and food supplies dry up as people are busy with other things, say officials. Please give at your congregation donation bin or bring donations to CAC, 1130 Hightower Trail, Sandy Springs, Ga 30350 or call Jacqui to arrange a delivery time at 770.552.4889.
