Arrests in Sandy Springs Bank Robbery, Cops Looking for Fourth Suspect

Wells Fargo at 6300 Roswell Road was robbed. A Jeep Cherokee stolen from the Dunwoody Police Department could have been involved.

Three of four suspects in the Wells Fargo Bank robbery, on August 30th, have been arrested and appeared before a U.S. Magistrate judge in Atlanta, on Monday.  Police are still looking for the fourth suspect. A vehicle involved in the heist was stolen from the Dunwoody Police Department, Sandy Springs police say. Wells Fargo at 6300 Roswell Road was robbed just after 9 a.m., on the Thursday before Labor Day weekend, by two black males with their faces covered and pointing handguns, according to a Sandy Springs Police report. The suspects escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash from the bank vault in a late model Jeep Cherokee, the report said, and drove down Johnson Ferry Road towards Wright Road. Man charged in two Dunwoody bank robberies

A similar crime in Chamblee helped lead to the arrest

Dunwoody Police have arrested a Sandy Springs man in connection with two bank robberies in Dunwoody that occurred last year. Trevor Barnes Gladston, 39, was arrested by Chamblee Police on Feb. 28 for the attempted robbery of a Wells Fargo branch in that city. Because of the similarities to two separate robberies at the Bank of America branch in Dunwoody, Gladston is being charged by police in connection with those two incidents. The Dunwoody incidents occured on June 4 and December 3 of last year, according to police. The Bank of America branch is located on 1 Perimeter Center East in Dunwoody. Gladston is being charged in connection with two counts of robbery by intimidation.

Masked Men Rob Dunwoody Bank

The men fired two shots into the ceiling during the robbery of a Chase Bank branch.

 Two men robbed the Chase branch at 5552 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd. Friday morning, just after 11 a.m., Dunwoody Police say, shooting into the bank ceiling twice as they fled. Gina Sapwivun was getting ready for the midday lunch rush at Singha Thai next door when she heard a loud thud come through the wall. “It sounded like something just dropped,” the restaurant manager said. Right away thought the bank was being robbed  – something that occurred twice before in the past few years. “We thought ‘Oh my God,’ the bank is getting robbed.” She and other employees locked the front and back doors and within minutes the cops were swarming the scene, she said. Police Search for Suspect in Armed Robbery at Best Bank

Armed man came into Dunwoody bank Tuesday morning, took out a gun and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash

An armed man robbed Best Bank yesterday morning. Around 10:45 a.m. a man wearing all black clothing walked into Best Bank, 4498 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd., went to the counter and demanded cash, according to the Dunwoody Police Department. The man pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash, the police said. He then fled on foot toward Cotillion Dr. The Dunwoody Police are working with the FBI to investigate the robbery. The police suspect the same man was involved in three additional bank robberies in the Atlanta area.
