With prices rising in all industries, I call it the disease of liberal Democrats! And it is theRead More disease that will wipe out civilization!
mark April 18, 2014 at 08:23 am
When taxes are imposed on various industries then to stay in business the prices increase on theRead More consumer! Obamacare , gas taxes, payroll taxes, tolls, the proposed soda and candy tax , your tobacco tax is 75% of what the product really costs! Commercial Property tax increases! Do you people see what's going on here? This country is being destroyed by the Democrats! It is starting to resemble The a Soviet Union! We should change the name of this country to the USSA!

Georgia ranks first in the nation for growth in women-owned businesses. File|Patch
Adriana April 5, 2014 at 07:45 am
What a misleading headline....top in growth is different than top on business! If we went from 1Read More woman owned business to 2 that would be 100% growth. Just sayin'. Lame, Patch, lame.

when the majority of Home Despots sales are derived from products made in american factories, onRead More american soil, made by americans, i might think kindly of every one of these corporate shills and conmen. until then, they ARE the problem, just as General Motors had factories in Nazi germany making war vehicles that helped kill american soldiers. split a company apart with some clever paperwork and then say its 'not ours' is a crime, and a despicable, fraudulent representation of life values. if these types want to 'give back' to america, they can start building factories, products and create jobs here, too bad they don't know a thing about the real world.

Why make things in America if you are forced to pay outrageous taxes or have to deal with a unionRead More that pushes for ridiculous wages for unskilled labor?
Forward.... March 20, 2014 at 04:03 pm
Unions got you a 40 hour work week, 2 weeks paid vacations, child labor laws and decent wages.Read More Unskilled labor are the CEO's of these major corporations, banks, hedge funds who get uninformed people like you to carry their water, and won't even give you a drink. The 10 most profitable corporations in this county pay less than 9% and over 2/3 don't pay federal corp. taxes what-so-ever. Some even get a refund with all of the loop holes. Union have been dismantled, that protected peoples right to fair wages. Corporations continue to profit billions of dollars, but the trickle doesn't happen, never has and won't while they have their puppets carrying their water as if one day, they're going to make you rich, rich, rich. And Harry, your Romney point about 47% of people don't pay taxes is so 2012! They don't pay federal income tax because they are the working poor and live in poverty.

I'm not afraid to speak the truth either. Ted Turner is as crazy as a s---house rat.

I wonder why someone, like Octo Slash, feels the need to go on Patch and post comments usingRead More vulgarity, even when it is disguised vulgarity?

This is a man that calls us peons "worthless eaters". I guess he should remind his healthRead More care workers how much better his "species" is than theirs.

JMichael, your points may be taken a little more seriously and you may find people more willing toRead More debate if you ditched the name calling. "DittoHeads", "ChristoClowns", etc.
Harry Ball March 7, 2014 at 01:50 pm
From Merriam-Webster debt noun \ˈdet\ : an amount of money that you owe to a person, bank,Read More company, etc. : the state of owing money to someone or something : the fact that you have been influenced or helped by someone or something The White House website proves that debt has DOUBLED under Obama and the Democrats watch. The Democrats controlled Senate and the House of Reps on January 3rd, 2007 so quit trying to blame Bush.
jMichael March 7, 2014 at 02:04 pm
Well, Jon. It is my understanding that "DittoHeads" is what Rush's followers callRead More themselves. I think I am correct here. [ ] As regards "ChristoClowns" .. there is no more apt expression for the Bachmannites of the GOP. They are a clownish embarrassment to Christianity, to the GOP, and to this Nation. I surely would not regard them as "Christian, nor would anyone else who walks the Path of Jesus. They merit no greater regard than did the Scribes and Pharisees [Matthew 23:...] "ChristoClowns" it is. And if the GOP manages to get its act together, these Preposterous Pretenders will be sent packing before they drag the party into a ditch too deep. 2014/2016 will tell the tale. [ ] i'll give you (and Harry) the last words. Thanks for your engagement with me. jMichael

Aw, you beat me to the 'bad teeth' cliché. Bloody hell.
LoneWolf February 27, 2014 at 09:18 am
Excellent news. Proper beer and decent food (just make sure the Shepherds Pie is made with lamb andRead More not beef). Any chance they will show proper football and some Rugby? Luvvly Jubbly.

I agree 100%! I think Food Network, and all those who dropped her like a hot potato, should beRead More ashamed of themselves. I wonder if they would be proud of everything they have said behind closed doors over their lifetime! How petty can we get??!!
bobby black February 25, 2014 at 06:42 pm
You should hear what THEY call each other when several of them get together and start jiving.

If most of those employees decide to drive and not to take the MARTA to and from work, we will endRead More having a serious traffic issue around that over travelled area of Dunwoody. Did the city of Dunwwody examined the impact on traffic around that area? Do we need to start digging tunnels to and from I-400 and I-285. Perhaps this is the following big project! Public input is needed and feasibility and traffic impact's studies are required before a permit is issued. I expect a high turn up at The Community council of the City of Dunwoody unless our elected and appointed including those subcontracted bypass public participations. It is becoming a standard operating procedure such as the re-write of the City Charter. TD from Stamford, CT on a white valentine's weekend.

Both of these locations had gone through the Development of Regional Impact DRI's) review by GRTA.Read More Do not know how this development size compares to what was originally studied. The original one for the Chequer's site was not approved, but this may be scaled down. Believe it or not, the traffic reports showed no adverse affect if Hammond Drive is widened to 6 lanes in each direction and some turn lanes are added at PDR. Just reporting their findings. There was also a DRI at the NW quadrant of this intersection, which was included in the final traffic studies. Heaven help if they send all the workers home at the same time! Put a fork in it...it's done!

Atlanta's Coca-Cola is teaming up with Keurig to offer a countertop Coke machine. File|Patch
Jena Anton February 13, 2014 at 10:19 am
@sigvard jensen, coke in a glass bottle is available at most grocery stores. Some even sell MexicanRead More coke, which is sold in bottles and made with sugar cane instead of HFCS.
Jena Anton February 13, 2014 at 10:23 am
@Octo Slash I disagree. Coca-Cola deploys massive quality control efforts. This product isRead More essentially a home soda fountain and will taste no different. Soda fountains and freestyle machines around the world replicate precise Coca-Cola flavor every day using a very similar process.
Laura February 13, 2014 at 01:52 pm
I don't need another machine, they should have teamed with Soda Stream and allowed them to sell CokeRead More syrup
