This week is National Direct Support Professionals Week. We'd like to honor our incredible staff each day. We've started by reintroducing several team members who have been previously profiled.
We'd like to continue by thanking ALL of our direct support staff publicly.
This includes the many men and women who work full time each week supporting individuals with disabilities (ID/DD/ASD), then drive into the evenings to take our participants home, or conduct individualized community outings after our daily services and supports wrap up. Other staff members arrive early every morning each week to spend time with our participants whose public transport drops them at our offices prior to 8 AM.

Our Quality Assurance Leaders/Developmental Disability Professionals at each of our branches deserve a special shout-out as well. That's Gena Chaloupka in Tucker, GA, and John Norwood in Fayetteville, GA. They review standards and practices, documentation, day to day supports, training, and ongoing staff development and training. They are supported by our administration, community mentors, and of course, our direct support specialists. Many have been with WOW for close to a decade.
Being a member of the WOW In-Sync team means staying committed to learning about specialized supports, interventions, and accommodations in addition to diligent planning, collaboration, and exploration on behalf of the men and women we support. Our staff work year round to offer the best in mentorship, training, and partnership in each area of our organization.

"This week is National Direct Support Professionals Week. To us it's another excuse to celebrate (we love excuses to celebrate!) the awesome staff we are so fortunate to have here at WOW. Our direct support specialists are people who embrace success not only for the people we support, but for themselves. They are passionate about making great things happen and they follow through. When I started this organization 14 years ago it was just an idea...and now because of the support and passion of hard working people like our staff, it's a dream come true. To our team: thank you for all you do. You are truly WOW!
