Weekender: Walk/Run Events, Kids Consignment Sale , ASO Performs

See what's going on in Dunwoody and nearby this weekend.

  • Atlanta Prostate Cancer Walk and Celebration. 7 a.m., Saturday, at Perimeter Mall
  • Kids Fall Consignment Sale. Shop for great deals on children's fall and winter clothing, toys, books, baby equipment, and more. Proceeds support the missions ofKingswood United Methodist Church. 5 p.m., Thursday; 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Friday; 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday. 5015 Tilly Mill Road. 
  • Atlanta Symphony Orchestra at Chastain. The ASO with music director Robert Spano and guest conductor Donald Runnicles, 8 p.m., Friday. Doors open at 7 p.m. Click here for ticket prices  
  • Sandy Springs Festival. The fun includes arts and crafts, inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting, an artists market and more.The annual event is kicked off by the 10K and 5K races at 7:30 a.m. and 7:50 a.m., respectively, Saturday. Festival hour are hours 9 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday; and 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday. Tickets are $5 for Adults (age 18+) and $2 for Youth (ages 6 – 17).  Children ages 5 and under and Heritage Sandy Springs Members are free. Two-day passes are also available for adults ($7) and youth ($3).
