Weekender: Car Wash for Autism, Bike Ride and More

See what's happening in Dunwoody this weekend.

 

  • Car Wash for Autism Research. Au Pair in America holds a car wash to raise funds for autism research. All proceeds go to Autism Speaks. 10 a.m., Saturday. Burger King, 4537 Chamblee Dunwoody Road.     
  • Storm Drain Marking. The City of Dunwoody will hold a scavenger hunt, of sorts, for storm drains, helping residents and city officials mark drains with new plaques. 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday. Folks will meet at Starbucks, 4516 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, for coffee, and then grab some maps, plaques and glue, and head out in groups. For more information contact Drew Cutright, 678-382-6815.
  • Sunday Bike Ride. The 36-mile ride starts from Chick-fil-A at Mount Vernon and Abernathy Road, and follows one of two routes both of which have a lot of climbing. 8 a.m., Free.
  • Pet Adoptions. The Homeless Pets Foundation has pets available for adoption on Saturdays from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Sundays from noon-4:30 p.m. at Petsmart, 128 Perimeter Center West. Volunteers are always needed. Visit http://www.homelesspets.com/Volunteer.php_ for more details.
