Weekend Planner: Last Weekend for 'Legally Blonde' at MJCCA

Dunwoody Police get "Cuffed for a Cause" on Saturday to raise money for the Special Olympics.

Dunwoody Driving Club: The vintage and sports car enthusiast club is holding its summer/fall event on Friday at 5 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Road and Dunwoody Club Drive. This free event is a chance to show off and check out vintage and unique sports cars. Food trucks will be at the event and donations of school supplies will be accepted during the event.

DeKalb County GOP Town Hall Meeting: The 40th Georgia Senate District of the DeKalb County GOP (which encompasses Dunwoody, Chamblee, Brookhaven 
and Doraville) is hosting a town hall meeting at the Dunwoody Library (5339 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road) on Saturday, August 10 at 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. They will discuss non-partisan local, state and federal issues.

Legally Blonde: This is the last weekend for the Marcus Jewish Community Center's production of the Broadway musical, "Legally Blonde." Click here for showtimes, tickets and other information.

MJCCA Dive into Shabbat Pool Party: This free event will take place at the MJCCA at 5342 Tilly Mill Road from 5-7 p.m. Celebrate the Sabbath by attending 'Dive Into Shabbat' at the MJCCA's Outdoor Pool and Splash Park! Bring your own picnic or purchase food from the Outdoor Grill. Songs and blessings with Rabbi Glusman at 6pm. Free ice pops, challah and grape juice! 

Cuffed for a Cause: Each year, the Dunwoody Police Department gets “Cuffed for a Cause” to help raise funds for the Law Enforcement Torch Run® of Special Olympics Georgia. Officers are handcuffed to moving treadmills for four hours (or until they reach their fundraising goal) as they walk, walk, walk while collecting donations from customers. This free event takes place on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wal-Mart at 4725 Ashford Dunwoody Road.
