Monday Essentials: Celebrated Chef Demonstrates Favorite Dishes

Chef Master Class. Celebrated Chef Asha Gomez will demonstrate three of her favorite dishes, including a spicy fritter version of the southern staple fried green tomatoes, a country captain chicken dish originally from the East India Trade company and a peach and cardamom jam pie, brilliantly blended for a delicious end to your meal. $69. 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sur La Table at Phipps Plaza.

Networking for Women 50 and Over. Professional women from the Atlanta Transitional Network host a meet and mingle event at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday at Double Zero, 5825 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs.

Toastmasters Weekly Meeting. Northwest Perimeter Toastmasters meets at noon, Wednesdays, at One Concourse Parkway, Suite 140. Attendees network personally and professionally while developing communication and leadership skills.
