Five Things To Do This Weekend

A Father's Day canoe trip, an art show and a concert at the Dunwoody Nature Center.

Five things to Do is Patch's guide to the weekend. We know there are many vets out there competing for your time and we've gone through the best ones in and around Dunwoody so you don't have to. Enjoy the weekend!

The Spruill Gallery continues its starting at 11 a.m. Saturday. The show features Atlanta's up and coming artists who paint, draw, photograph and sculpt. The show runs on selected dates through August 11.

Ready to sweat? The "On the Dark Side" - leaves tomorrow from Dunwoody High School. It's a 35-mile, no joke "hang or be dropped" ride, so be ready.

The Dunwoody Nature Center has a concert . The show is $5, begins at 7 p.m. and is part of the popular concert-in-the-park series.Β

Looking for something to do with young kids and their father Sunday? Take them to Congregation Ariel in Dunwoody from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event, called "Touch a Truck," has fire trucks, back hoes, police cars, a monster truck, a tow truck and some other big machines you can check out.

The Chattahooche Nature Center in Roswell is offering a canoeing 101 course on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Not a bad idea for an outdoor-loving Dad. You'll learn the basics of canoeing and can put those skills to the test to make you a more confident paddler.
