Dunwoody's Food Truck Thursday Kicks Off with Live Music at Brook Run Park

The inaugural Dunwoody Food Truck Thursday begins at 6 p.m. Arrive early because the trucks are likely to sell out early for this kick-off event.

The food trucks are coming!

The food trucks are rolling into Dunwoody's Brook Run Park for the first ever Dunwoody Food Truck Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Bettie Cagle of Red Bird Events is the organizer of the event and in 2012, organized and  managed Smyrna's Food Truck Tuesdays, which often brought in crowds of 1,000 throughout the season.

Come out and celebrate the last day of school by not cooking dinner and bringing the family out for what is sure to be one of the biggest events Dunwoody has seen all year.

Two acoustic duos, The Woodys and He Sang She Sang, will be performing their varied repertoire of original songs and hits from past and present!

What should you expect for Food Truck Thursday? Tons of excitement!

  • So, arrive early. Cagle said that since this is the first event, the trucks will likely sell out earlier than usual.
  • Bring a blanket or camping chairs, Cagle advises, and use the time in lines to meet or chat with neighbors.
  • Bring neighbors, friends, dogs and the kids! Bring everybody.
  • Get ready to have a good time.
  • Bring cash, if possible.
