Dunwoody Loss to Lakeside ended Tough Streak for Vikings

Dunwoody looks to battle back in its third game after an 0-2 start in losses to Chamblee and Lakeside high schools.

The last time the Vikings won a football game was almost two years ago on September 17, 2010 when they nipped Redan 7-6.

That was 17 games ago and two football seasons. The Vikings (1-1) ended that behind the play of offensive stars Nick Alexander and Bradley Earnest along with a defense led by Kyle Smith in a 28-14 victory over Dunwoody's Wildcats (0-2) on Friday night at Adams Stadium.

Dunwoody, now 0-1 in Region 6-AAAAA, did pull within 21-14 early in the fourth quarter. However, the Vikings answered with their final score to secure the game and improve to 1-0 in region play for the first time since that 2010 season.
