DHS Girls Cross Country Take Regional Championship

Women bested Lakeside by the narrowest of margins in a recent meet.

The Dunwoody's girls' Cross Country team won the Region 6-AAAAA Championship recently, defeating worthy competitor Lakeside by one point, DHS organizers reported.

It was the girls' first region championship in 17 years, last winning in 1995.

Another first: it's the first time in DHS history that the team has won the region and the county.
