Whiz Kid Heads to College, Will Miss Dunwoody

Eilidh Geddes is headed to UGA this week, but said she will miss the community-feel of Dunwoody.

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Eilidh moved to Dunwoody when she was two and a half.

"While I am very much excited to be heading to college, there are some things I will miss about Dunwoody. I'm going to miss my friends, and family as well as the community feel there is at Dunwoody," Eilidh said.

"I had some really great experiences at Dunwoody High School," she added.

While at Dunwoody High School, Eilidh has been featured on Dunwoody Patch for her role on the and for being a .

Eilidh will be attending the Univeristy of Georgia's Honors Program on the Foundation Fellowship to study economics, with a possible minor in Spanish. She will also be joining the UGA debate team.

"I am most excited about the new opportunities that college brings. I will get to meet a ton of people from all kinds of different backgrounds who have the same interests as me," said Eilidh.

Eilidh is also looking forward to studying abroad. "As a part of the scholarship program that I am in, I am spending a Maymester at Oxford University next year," she explained.

Though highly optimistic, Eilidh admits she has some worries.

"I'm most nervous about how I am going to balance everything," Eilidh said. 

"I want to be very involved in campus life and am worried there won't be enough time in the day for everything that I want to do," she said.
