The Week Ahead is Full of Meetings in Dunwoody

Council, PCID, Schools and area master plans all have meetings this week

Catching up on snow days and moving forward on several projects, it will be a busy week of meetings for the City of Dunwoody.

Tuesday: 

• The city council will hold its first meeting of the year, which was postponed twice last week because of weather.

The council work sessions will start at 8 p.m.

• The Perimeter Community Improvement District will be holding a Visioning Meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.

The meeting is about the PCID’s Livable Centers Initiative, and will include information and data about the project, survey results and an opportunity for feedback.

• The Community Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. The only item on the council’s agenda is about the rezoning of 5528 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd., a former gas station that a developer wants to demolish and put up a Chase Bank.

Wednesday:

• The city is holding the final community meeting for the Georgetown/North Shallowford Area Master Plan. The meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the . The plan is being used to help develop the Georgetown area in land use, transportation and open space. It is the fourth public meeting on the plan. There will also be a community workshop for the Dunwoody Village Master Plan at the same meeting, starting at 8 p.m.

Thursday:

• The city is holding the final community meeting for the Dunwoody Village Master Plan. It will be held at 7 p.m. at h.

The plan is a 20-year vision for the Dunwoody Village area, including land use, transportation and open space.

• This week, the DeKalb County School District is holding several meetings regarding its redistricting plans. Six public input workshops will be held starting Tuesday though Jan. 27.

The closest meeting for Dunwoody residents will be held on Thursday night at Chamblee Charter High School, 3688 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, at 6:30 p.m.
