Sen. Fran Millar Visits Kingsley Elementary Preschool

Millar visited Kingsley Elementary School this week in honor of Georgia pre-kindergarten week.

Sen. Fran Millar joined some pre-kindergarten students this week to celebrate Georgia's Pre-K week.

The celebration was to acknowledge the important role that pre-kindergarten plays in getting kids ready for school at an early age.

“Georgia’s Pre-K is an exceptional education program that serves 84,000 4-year-olds throughout Georgia,” said Pat Willis, executive director of Voices for Georgia’s Children, a child advocacy organization. “Pre-K is a milestone in a child’s early education."

Millar was one of nearly 140 state officials who visited some of the approximately 3,800 Pre-K classrooms located in all 159 counties in Georgia.

Millar participated in learning activities with the children, took a tour of the facility, talked with the staff, and got an up-close look at the many ways the school is supporting early learning.
