Mom's Talk Q & A: School Realignment

With DeKalb County Schools close to a final vote on the school realignment... what now?

Over a year ago, a list of possible school closures in DeKalb Schools was leaked to the press. Ever since, we have been hearing about possible school closures and the DeKalb County Schools' plan for redistricting.

After months of speculating and meeting, the Interim Superintendent presented her recommendations three weeks ago. Now, the School Board will take a final vote on March 7th, after this week's public hearings.Β

The superintendent's recommendations would convert Dunwoody Elementary to a K-5 school, but would leave students who live in Dunwoody in Dunwoody schools.
