Merchant Programs an Opportunity For DHS

Various programs support DHS through thousands of dollars in donations. Check out how to participate.

Alright, here's a little news you can use to boost school spirit (and donate some dough) to Dunwoody High School.

DHS has a slew of merchants that support them through your business. Everyone knows about the budget problems in DeKalb - here are some practical ways to help!

A "Commitment Card" at Publix groceries used by a customer donates to DHS, according to school officials. The program has already generated $1,300. It's pretty straight forward. Swipe the card when you shop. If you need a card you can pick one up from the school's front office.

Georgia Natural Gas, a local gas provider, also allows existing customers to link their accounts to DHS or tie it to the school when the account is created. The tie-in donates $5 per month to DHS. The school has reaped $10,000 since the program started, according to school officials. Plus, you get a 15-cent per-therm discount off your monthly gas bill if you participate.
