The City of Dunwoody Sustainability Commission invites the community to a kickoff event for a new sustainability series, Living and Learning: Smart Choices for the Dunwoody Citizen.
This monthly series aims to teach community members how to live more sustainably.
Each month there will be a theme and opportunities for “citizen science” related to the theme as well as at least one community event.

January's focus will be Water Conservation and will include a rain barrel class hosted by the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeepers. Participants will learn the importance of water conservation and the effects of storm-water runoff.
Participants must register to attend and space is limited to 25 particpants.

Interested participants will also have the opportunity to decorate a rain barrel for auction at the Dunwoody Art Festival will be reimbursed for the registration fee once their barrel is entered into the contest.
**Once registered, remember to drive a vehicle to the workshop in order to carry your 60 gallon rain barrel home.
