Dunwoody Whiz Kids of the Week

Name: KidsPraise Team at Dunwoody Baptist Church

Ages: 9-12

School: Ranging from 3rd to 5th grade, the 32-student KidsPraise Team at Dunwoody Baptist Church hails from Vanderlyn, Austin, Wesleyan, Northwood, Dunwoody and Montgomery Elementary Schools.

Accomplishment: The KidsPraise Team is an arts and service team, leading weekly worship and being actively involved in serving the community.

Key to Awesomeness: More than just leading worship weekly, the KidsPraise Team recently finished collecting supplies for an orphanage in Haiti and are preparing for a musical/drama performance in March for younger children and families involved in the church’s Awana ministry. Other community service has included volunteering at Vision Atlanta’s Camp Grace and collecting supplies for refugees coming to America through World Relief.

According to Children’s Minister Brenda Russell, the students on the KidsPraise Team are, “always willing to help, to serve and to be wonderful examples to others.”
