Dunwoody High Standout Drafted By The Saints

Corey White was drafted in the fifth round in the third day of the NFL draft.

Former student Corey White was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the third day of the 2012 NFL draft.

The 6-foot, 206-pound White led Samford University in interceptions last season with four, returning one for a touchdown, according to the Washington Post.

White played cornerback at Samford, and at his pro day, White ran a reported 4.39 40 yard dash, according to NewOrleansProFootball.com.

The website also touted White's strong tackling and aggressive run support abilities, and said he will likely move to the safety position.
