Cold Blasts Disrupts Dunwoody Elementary School, Traffic on Wednesday

More than 900 students were transported to Dunwoody High School about 10 a.m., Wednesday.

The cold blast resulted in a Dunwoody water main break causing water to shoot into to the air overnight Tuesday, closed Tilly Mill at Womack Road, and caused the evacuation of Dunwoody Elementary School. 

More than 900 students were transported to Dunwoody High School about 10 a.m., Wednesday. High School principal Noel Maloof told Channel 2 Action News that students attended classes on the first floor, while high schoolers were shifted to the second and third floors. 

The elementary school students were returned to their home school in time for normal afternoon dismissal.
