Upcoming: Dunwoody Public Meeting for Ga. 400 Toll Plaza Demolition

A meeting will be held in Dunwoody at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia. The State Road and Tollway Authority has scheduled the meetings on plans to end the practice of collecting tolls and to remove the booths along Ga. 400.

The State Road and Tollway Authority has scheduled the meetings to give residents information on plans to end the practice of collecting tolls and to remove the booths along Georgia 400.

The state is set to pay off its bond debt and halt collecting tolls on the state highway by the end of the year. The ending date is tentatively set for the week before Thanksgiving.

Along with learning about the demolition project, residents will also be able to learn about other Georgia transportation options. 

SRTA notes the cost of the project is $4.5 million, and $3.5 million of the cost covers construction associated with the demolition. 

Newnan-based Southeastern Site Development, Inc. was tapped to perform the project, which will be managed by the Georgia Department of Transportation.
