Sales Tax Holidays to Help Shoppers Save on Back-to-School Items

General school supplies, clothes and computers will be exempt from sales tax on August 9 and 10, but there are some limits.

The Georgia Department of Revenue has recently announced the sales tax holidays: August 9 and 10.

Check the Georgia Department of Revenue website for detailed all the sales tax exempt items for those days.

Be aware of the limits, too. General school supplies, for example, must be $20 or less per item; a single personal computer purchase must be $1,000 or less, etc.
