Ga. 400 lane closures slated for next week

Now, weather permitting, the lane closures for the construction of a bridge at the Buckhead MARTA station will resume Monday and continue through Friday. The construction is not during regular commute hours - it's from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day - but it could still affect some commute and travel schedules.
 
MARTA, along with the Buckhead Community Improvement District, Georgia Department of Transportation, State Road and Toll Authority, Federal Transit Administration and the city of Atlanta, has started construction on a pedestrian bridge to reconnect Buckhead's east and west sides.

The bridge will also offer a convenient entrance to the Buckhead MARTA Station. When the project is completed, pedestrians will be able to cross between Stratford Road to Tower Place Drive over Ga. 400.
