Dunwoody Village Parkway To Be Upgraded

The city council voted to approve the makeover during its meeting on Monday night.

The Dunwoody City Council voted this past Monday night to upgrade Dunwoody Village Parkway.

According to the Reporter Newspapers, the city has received federal grant money to upgrade the road. Plans call for reducing the road from four lanes to two; removing the landscaped median; adding sidewalks, bike lanes, lighting and other pedestrian-friendly elements.

Though included in the Dunwoody Village master plan, several council members objected to the project's $2.3 million pricetag.
