Dunwoody's Amnesty Program for Traffic Violators Begins Monday

If you have unpaid traffic tickets, the city will forgive any outstanding additional fines if you pay the ticket in full.

Anyone with an upaid traffic ticket or bench warrant in the City of Dunwoody has an opportunity to make it right starting Monday.

The city's Municipal Court is holding the Amnesty Program again this year for individuals with past due traffic citations and or active bench warrants for failing to appear in court, according to the city's website.

The program was created "to promote lawful driving privileges, settle outstanding violations with the court and reduce arrests," according to the city website.

The program runs during June and July. Individuals may walk-in to the Municipal Court on Mondays as well as Wednesday through Friday during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. only, no exceptions.

If fines are paid in full during this period, all contempt fines will be forgiven.

Additionally, if the individual’s offense(s) requires a mandatory court appearance, the individual will be granted a future court date to appear before a judge and all warrants will be cleared and warrant fees forgiven.  

Acceptable forms of payment are cash, money order, cashier's check, and Visa and Mastercard credit cards. Personal checks will not be accepted.
