Dunwoody Looking for New Municipal Judge

City looks to replace seat Judge Sherry Boston, who was appointed Solicitor General for DeKalb County

The city of Dunwoody is looking for a new judge.

The city's municipal court lost Judge Sherry Boston late last year, when former Gov. Sonny Perdue appointed her as Solicitor-General for DeKalb County.

The city has begun interviewing candidates for the part-time judge seat.

The municipal court overs traffic and other misdemeanor violations that happen within the city, including traffic violations, DUIs, code enforcementand drug possession, according to the city.

The position is appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the city council.
