Dunwoody hosts Memorial Day Event

The ceremony to honor soldiers who died in war is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Brook Run Park.

Dunwoody will honor its soldiers that died to defend America Monday at a ceremony in Brook Run Park.

The event is open to the public and is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

Mayor Mike Davis will start the ceremony, which features an address by U.S. Army Col. Billy Shaw.

The Dunwoody High School Air Force Junior ROTC Color Guard is participating, as well as former state Sen. Jim Tysinger and retired Sgt. Major Simon Jones.
