City to Meet on Parks in "Project Renaissance"

The city continues to seek input from residents on parks and linear trails planned in the Georgetown development that could break ground next year.

The city's "Project Rennaissance" is tied to public parks and linear parks that city officials hope will make the John Wieland project a signature redevelopment in the the city's Georgetown area.

The city recently met about the parks planned for the development, which include both passive and active recreation in the development's first phase near North Shallowford Road and Chamblee Dunwoody Road.

The city will meet twice on Wednesday to discuss the parks in the two-phase housing development that also includes a commercial component near a "town square" park.
