City of Dunwoody to Host Delegates from Ukraine

Group arrives in the U.S. Friday and will come to Dunwoody on Tuesday

A group of Ukrainian legislators will be visiting Georgia and the city of Dunwoody next week as part of an international outreach program hosted by the United States.

The group will be visiting Georgia for 10 days as part of the Open World Program, an initiative of the U.S. Congress, which brings leaders from Eurasian countries to experience elements of American government, business and community, according to a city press release.

The group arrives in the United States on Friday.

Five of the delegates will be visiting Dunwoody this Tuesday. During their visit to the city they’ll participate in informal meetings, visit different departments and learn about how Dunwoody is run, the release says.

Delegates are staying with local Atlanta families while they area here.

The Open World Program was started in 1999 to increase understanding between the United States and Russia, according to the city’s release.
