Possible referendums for parks/transportation bonds, Sunday alcohol sales and tax allocation districts will be discussed

Referendums will be on the table for discussion Monday night at the Dunwoody City Council work session.

However, the city has also , something that would also require additional funding to move forward.

Most on the council have already said they are in favor of putting the Sunday alcohol issue to voters. The General Assembly and Governor just passed a bill that allows municipalities to choose whether or not to sell alcohol on Sundays. In order for cities to do so, it requires a local referendum.

City staff increase?

The city is looking at hiring on full-time three positions that are currently outsourced to companies providing municipal service for Dunwoody.

A new proposal from City Finance Director would bring two Deputy Court clerks and the Assistant to the City Manager as full time city positions.

Also on the work session agenda:

• a proposal to change the name of a portion Eidson Road to Cherry Hill Lane. City staff recommends making the change, as it can be a challenge for police responding to incidents and accidents on that portion of the Eidson Road, as it is disconnected from the southern portion of the road.

• discussion on possible municipal redistricting.

• discussion of city council rules and procedures.
