In rare appearance before the BOC, Ellis gets into argument with Larry Johnson

DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis appeared before the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners Wednesday to discuss how employees are appointed.

As he spoke to the board, he got into a testy exchange with Board Chair Larry Johnson.

A tale of sound an fury signifying nothing. The CEO will add Mr Cornell to his present staff of about 30. Com Johnson makes it look like he is trying to do something, while his goal is the same as the CEOs, to keep the jobs machine going. DKC needs the County manager form of government. Gwinnett has 100,000 more people than DKC and has 1000 FEWER employees. Better alternative would be for the County to go bankrupt and the State take it over.
