Coming Soon: Dunwoody Citizens Police Academy Class

The Dunwoody Police Department hosts its next Citizens Police Academy class on Sept. 3.

The 10-week class will be held from 6-9 p.m., on Tuesdays. The course covers Traffic Enforcement, Gangs, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), the Detective Division, Patrol, Community Outreach Unit, Crime Scene Unit and Evidence. Included in the academy is a tour of the Dekalb County Jail and the ChatComm 911 center in Sandy Springs. 

A limited number of spaces is available. You can download the application and turn it into the front desk at 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 100, Dunwoody, GA 30346.  There will be a background check conducted on each applicant.
