Dunwoody Police have arrested two more men in the death of Ivan Perez, who was shot outside of his apartment at Perimeter Point Apartments on the day after Christmas.

Police say the shooting was part of a murder for hire, but said Perez was shot in a case of mistaken identity. In the week after the shooting, police arrested two men involved in the crime.

Dunwoody Police Sgt. Mike Carlson said the two had also been involved in the shooting, though because the investigation is ongoing, would not go into detail about the nature of their alleged involvement.

Perez had moved to Dunwoody from New York less than a year before.

Carlson did not say who was targeted or what the motive for the shooting was.

“All of these men are connected in some form or fashion,” Carlson said.

Carlson said more arrests are expected in the case, but declined to go into detail about how those who’ve been arrested are connected.
