Third Suspect of Chamblee Store Break-in Apprehended

Two suspects were arrested the night of the arrest at the cell phone store just south of I-285 on Chamblee Dunwoody Road.

Three police agencies and the North Metro SWAT Team came together to help apprehend two of three suspects who tied up a store employee during an attempted burglary of a Chamblee cell phone store Saturday night.

At around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Georgia Department of Corrections employees brought in Cornelius Mario Cook, 36, after he reported to his probation officer, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Cook is thought to be the third suspect who escaped through a back door during the attempted burglary.

The U.S. Marshals Service Counter Gang Unit assisted the Chamblee Police and the DeKalb Sheriff’s Fugitive Squad in Cook's apprehension.

According to the AJC, the suspects took approximately $15,000, but tripped a silent alarm at about 8:30 p.m., alerting authorities.

Cook, along with the other suspects– Rico Cook and Randy Felton– are being held in the DeKalb County jail and are charged with armed robbery, burglary, aggravated assault and false imprisonment.
