Suspected Patio Furniture Thief Arrested

Dunwoody man was arrested for stealing porch furniture from O'Brian's Tavern and is suspected in three similar thefts.

Police have arrested a Dunwoody man they believe stole furniture outside a newly opened pub, and the man could be charged with a rash of similar thefts.

Darryl Bernard Dillard, 51, was arrested for stealing patio furniture from O'Brian's Tavern early Friday morning. The pub on the 2400 block of Mt. Vernon Road opened just last week.

Police say the man was arrested for the theft after he was identified via video surveillance footage.

Dillard is being charged with a count of theft by taking and is being held in the DeKalb County Jail since he was arrested Tuesday, according to Dunwoody Police.

Three similar thefts have occurred in recent weeks that Dillard is suspected in but has not been charged. Alison's Restaurant, Carvel's Ice Cream and Taki Japanese Steakhouse have all reported missing patio furniture.
