It was Dunwoody's first homicide of the year, and the first in the last two years, according to a recent Dunwoody crime stats report. Overall, violent crimes are sharply down, but that stat doesn't mean much in this case.

Williams is facing charges in connection with felony armed robbery and felony murder. He is also accused of possessing a firearm in the commission of a crime, also a felony.

Calderon-Guzman was a popular drag queen performer in the city, according to Project Q a website that writes about hgay issues.

Guzman performed in Buckhead and in clubs on Buford Highway, the website reported. He performed under the name "Noxy Cassandra," who many in the club community knew her as. After her death, an outpouring in the gay community recognized her passing, according to media outlets.
