Softball: Local Police and Fire Departments Face-off in Saturday Game

In the annual "Guns and Hoses" softball game, Dunwoody and Sandy Springs cops play softball against Marietta and Dekalb County Fire Departments at Dunwoody Park.

Dunwoody and Sandy Springs Police Departments are going head to head with the Marietta Fire Department and DeKalb County Fire & Rescue in the annual "Guns and Hoses Charity Softball Challenge," Saturday. The game helps to raise money for Special Olympics Georgia and the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.

It will be held at 9 a.m., at Dunwoody Park, 5321 Roberts Drive, Dunwoody.

The community is encouraged to attend the free event, which includes food and drinks, and a children’s inflatable. Former Atlanta Braves players Marty Perez, Paul Assenmacher and John Rocker are scheduled to make appearances to sign autographs.

A raffle will be held for baseballs signed by Atlanta Braves players, an Insignia LED T.V.; gift certificates to local restaurants, and more.
